So Many Things, So Little Time To Explain

Well, school is going to start on Tuesday and I'm excited and a bit nervous. I mean, only two more days! I hope and pray that school is going to go well and I will have many friends when it is over!!

I just found out that sometime around Christmas my brother and sister( in russian, that would be brat and sestra!) will be coming to visit us here in Moscow! I am sooooo excited and I can't wait!! That is something to look forward to.

The factory tour was awsome! Did you know that matryshkas are hand made? I would know, because I saw them carve and paint the dolls myself. One thing I have to say is that all those little details were painted by a very talented person. It was hard to paint the details on the doll, especially the face! I kept messing it up, but I eventually fixed it. We also had a chance to see a monastery, but they made us pay for a tour because it was too obvious that we were a group. That was unfair because others were getting in for free! Some of us, inclueding me and my mom, didn't do the tour. Instead, we went to a market outside of the monastery, where we bought some things.

Well, I have to go. Das Vi Danya!

Every Day Is A New Adventure

I forgot to tell you that not only am I going to learn Russian, but I'm also going to learn French! You see, I made a friend here who is french and she offered to teach me. I thought that would be interesting, so I will learn from her every day after school when my homework is done. Isn't that cool? I think it is!

Yesterday, I met some girls in the area that are going to be in 8th grade as well! You see, everyone here my age is going into 7th. I thought I was the only 8th grader here. I also can swim in the deep end of the pool(it's 8.8ft deep there!) without a noodle! Finally, I have conquered another fear!!

Well, I have to go. Talk to you later!

updating.....NOW!

I am soooo happy because the stitches came out yesterday! In a couple days I'll be able to swim again and by the weekend I can run around like a normal kid. I still have to be carefull until the scab comes off, but I can still play around.

Well, in two weeks, school is going to start. I'm going to an english-speaking school here in Moskow. In fact, it is three minutes away from where I live so I'm walking to school. Everyone tells me it's a great school, so I'm looking forward to it. Problem: it's HUGE! I'm so sure I'm going to get lost at least once this year.

Next week, we are going to a russian Matryshka(matroshka) doll factory to see how they are made and paint our own doll! I think that it's so cool that they do that.

Well, catcha later. See ya!
